The Oklahoma Tax Commission posted the April Sales Tax deposit letter on their website which reflects sales made in the month of February. After 12 months of negative growth, the April receipt is 7.3% higher than February 2009. Obviously, one month is not a trend, but it is great that we broke the 12 month trend of negative numbers. An electronic deposit of $1,280,305 will be transferred from the OTC to the City of Ada today. This deposit reflects retail sales of over $32M.
February retail sales were reported to be up for the entire US, so the Ada market followed suit.
