Pontotoc Technology Center (PTC) Construction on Phase I of the fire-safety training center began. Phase I consists of a fire tower that will be utilized for Firefighter I & II training. The tower is located behind the school adjacent to the outdoor classroom. The five-story training tower will be under constant use by the training program and local fire departments. Eventually, PTC plans to construct a new building to house the fire-safety training classrooms. PTC’s fire-safety training facility can help lower the cost for training rural volunteer firefighters.
